The SwissCard was introduced by Victorinox in 1997. Some feel it is a more convenient way to carry some of the typical tools of the Swiss Army Knife. The concept was simple; one would slip it into their wallet or purse with their credit cards so it would always be with them.
Like the Victorinox Classic it also serves as an effective advertising medium, with a large surface area and ease of being printed with logos and text. As something a person might retain with them and make use of, it appealed to advertisers.
The Swiss Card is made from ABS (Acrylnitril-Butadien-Styrol) Plastic.
